Maintenance Technician Dry Cleaners Boise

Job Description

Personnel Plus, Inc. is now hiring a Maintenance Technician in Boise, Idaho! Our client, a prominent dry cleaning company, is seeking a resourceful and hands-on Maintenance Technician to help maintain the equipment, facilities, utility systems, and vehicles that keep their business running. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, troubleshooting, mechanical repairs, and expanding their technical skills in a hands-on environment.
Pay and schedule:
$19.00-$23.00 p/h, depending on experience and capabilities. Candidates with broader technical skills may be considered above the posted range. Performance-bonus eligibility is also available. Approximately 25-40 hours per week, depending on skills, availability, and the range of responsibilities you can take on. What you'll do: Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair boilers, high-pressure steam systems, dry-cleaning and laundry equipment, presses, dryers, washers, pumps, compressed air, vacuum, cooling, and water systems Perform hands-on mechanical repairs involving piping, fittings, valves, traps, belts, bearings, motors, pumps, and other mechanical components Learn and understand how boilers, piping, condensate, water, and production equipment work together to diagnose and repair equipment issues Perform preventive maintenance and identify problems before they become emergencies Investigate recurring equipment issues and ensure repairs are properly completed Help identify leaks, equipment problems, and operating issues that may increase electricity, natural gas, or water usage Maintain and repair facilities at all Clothesline Cleaners locations, including plumbing, lighting, doors, flooring, ventilation, pressure washing, rooftop work, and general repairs Perform maintenance on company delivery vans, including oil changes, brakes, tires, filters, batteries, and other vehicle maintenance you are qualified to handle Work with outside specialists and automotive repair shops when specialized repairs are needed Keep parts, tools, and operating supplies organized and readily available Monitor inventory levels, help coordinate orders and pickups, and put deliveries away Assist with general organization, cleanup, breakdown, and other hands-on tasks as needed What you'll need: Experience in equipment maintenance, mechanical repair, plumbing, HVAC, automotive repair, building maintenance, construction, another skilled trade, or a combination of hands-on experience Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment Comfortable using tools and performing mechanical repairs independently Ability to replace and repair piping, valves, components, and other mechanical systems Ability to follow manuals, diagrams, and technical instructions Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify the root cause of an issue Resourceful and cost-conscious approach to repairs without taking unsafe shortcuts Ability to work independently, take initiative, and follow projects through to completion Organized, dependable, and willing to assist wherever your skills are useful Willingness to continue learning and expand your technical capabilities Valid driver's license and ability to drive company vehicles required Dry-cleaning or commercial-laundry experience is helpful but not required
Pay:
$19.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 - 40.0 per week
