Mon - Fri 7 am - 4 pm With the potential for On-call rotation The College of Idaho is looking for a dedicated and team-focused individual with excellent customer service skills to join our maintenance team! If you are dependable, detail-oriented, and have the ability to troubleshoot, assess, evaluate, and address general maintenance and repairs, we encourage you to apply and become a vital part of our campus community. This position is a temp-to-hire opportunity, allowing you to demonstrate your skills and potentially secure a permanent role with us.Typical duties include:
Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician- such as basic plumbing, routine electrical, carpentry, maintenance of building fixtures, and PM tasks. Manage assigned work orders through timely completion. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment. Ensure all hand tools, power tools, and equipment are maintained and in good working order. Adhere to safety standards, operate a variety of gasoline, electrical, and diesel-powered equipment ranging from plows, scrapers, backhoes, skid steers, man-lifts, and related equipment.Qualifications:
• Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check Have strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written Previous experience in a skilled maintenance position with similar responsibilities. High school diploma or GED, vocational or trade school a plus. Minimum 18 years of age Possession of a current, valid driver's license; vehicle insurable with a good driving record in accordance with The College of Idaho's vehicle policy.
