Floor Technicians:
The Floor Technician maintains The Garlands' public areas through various cleaning projects including floor care, exterior cleanings and special projects Performs carpet, floor, upholstery cleaning and all other cleaning tasks by following policies and procedures and product recommendations. Must always refer to MSDS and follow infection control procedures. Responsible for maintaining and cleaning equipment before and after each use. Report to the director and supervisor any equipment issues timely. Uses chemicals and supplies wisely Follows safe working procedures and reports any safety concerns to the supervisor and director. Assists Maintenance Team Members with snow removal on walkways and driveways to ensure Members' safety on the premises. Demonstrates excellent listening skills and communicates effectively while conveying patience and understanding. Treats all Members with dignity and respect and establishes a trusting relationship with them, while maintaining confidences. Demonstrates knowledge of safety measures and environmental hazard prevention at The Garlands. Uses tools and equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Experience in a healthcare or hospitality setting preferred Must be a flexible, highly customer service individual Well organized with the ability to handle a variety of responsibilities and changing priorities, while maintaining an upbeat, customer focus. Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. Takes pride in personal appearance and professional demeanor. Must be able to complete responsibilities with little supervision and operate all cleaning equipment independently. Must be able to work with cleaning fluids in a safe and appropriate manner.
Physical Requirements:
Able to climb 6-foot stepladder. Able to endure extensive standing, walking, stair climbing. Able to work outside in inclement weather while shoveling snow or pushing equipment. Able to tolerate occasional high noise levels. Able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to push and/or pull wheeled carts and equipment weighing up to 100 lbs.
