Job Description

Job Description Insight Global is in search of a Maintenance Mechanic/Electrician in Bartlett, IL to work on 2nd shift (3:30pm-1:30am). This individual will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining a wide variety of complex mechanical, electrical, building, and facility systems in a manufacturing environment. Day-to-day responsibilities include working from CMMS work orders, maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints to diagnose equipment issues, determine root causes, and perform corrective repairs. The Maintenance Mechanic/Electrician will troubleshoot electrical circuits, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and servo-controlled automation equipment; install and modify machinery in accordance with plant and local codes; and repair or replace components such as motors, valves, gears, belts, hoses, clutches, and controls. Additional responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, documenting equipment modifications, assisting with employee training, coordinating material procurement through purchasing, and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment while adhering to all company safety policies and procedures. Skills and Requirements 8+ years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic, Industrial Mechanic, or similar role in a manufacturing, industrial, or plant environment. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, pumps, motors, valves, and power transmission equipment. Ability to troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain production equipment and facility systems with minimal supervision. Experience performing preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, adjustments, alignments, and mechanical rebuilds. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, equipment manuals, technical drawings, and work orders. Working knowledge of electrical systems, including troubleshooting of motors, sensors, controls, and related equipment. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, grease gun, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively. Strong understanding of safety practices, lockout/tagout procedures, OSHA requirements, and safe work practices in an industrial environment.
