Maintenance Tech 2nd shift. The second shift offers a second shift premium on top of the hourly rate. The Heat Treat Preventative Maintenance Tech is responsible for performing preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on heat treating equipment and supporting systems to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation. This position supports production by maintaining furnaces, quench systems, atmosphere generators, burners, controls, instrumentation and facility utilities while minimizing downtime and maintaining compliance with quality and safety standards. Performs preventative maintenance on equipment and prepares accurate records; performs such other duties as may be assigned. Building maintenance and repair, preventative maintenance. PLC experience a plus but not required. Will be expected to successfully complete all work instruction programs. Must be able to work safely and follow all safety rules, policies, and procedures. Must be able to drive forklift - certified by FPM. Conducts predictive maintenance activities, including inspections, vibration, monitoring, and equipment condition assessments. Maintains furnaces seals, refractory materials, insulation, and combustion components. Assist with furnace shutdowns, rebuilds and major repair projects. Document maintenance activities / maintain tracking systems. Maintain housekeeping standards in maintenance and production areas. Coordinates with production personnel to schedule maintenance activities with minimal impact to operations. Make recommendations for equipment improvements. FPM is an equal opportunity employer
