Apartment Maintenance Technician

Center House Holdings Edwardsville, IL and surrounding areas Full-Time | $17-$35 per hour About the Position Center House Holdings is seeking a dependable, skilled, and motivated Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team. This is a full-time position supporting the maintenance and upkeep of apartment properties in Edwardsville and the surrounding areas. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who takes pride in quality work, can work independently, and is comfortable handling a wide variety of maintenance and repair tasks. Compensation will be based on experience, skill level, and overall qualifications. Responsibilities The Property Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining apartment units and common areas and may perform a wide range of tasks, including: General apartment and property maintenance Plumbing repairs and troubleshooting Basic electrical repairs and troubleshooting HVAC maintenance and basic repairs Drywall repair and patching Interior and exterior painting Appliance installation and repair Flooring and general carpentry repairs Apartment turns and make-ready work Preventative maintenance Groundskeeping and exterior property maintenance Diagnosing and repairing maintenance issues Responding to tenant maintenance requests Preparing vacant units for new residents Maintaining a clean, safe, and professional work environment Other maintenance and repair duties as needed Qualifications Previous apartment, residential, commercial, or general maintenance experience preferred Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks Ability to work independently and manage priorities Dependable, punctual, and professional Good communication and customer-service skills Ability to interact professionally with residents Ability to safely perform physical maintenance work, including lifting, climbing, bending, and working in various environments Valid driver's license preferred Basic hand tools preferred HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or other relevant certifications are a plus What We Offer $17-$35 per hour , based on experience and skill level Full-time employment Vacation time Benefits package Opportunities to use and develop a wide range of maintenance skills A varied work environment with opportunities for advancement Who We're Looking For We're looking for someone who takes ownership of their work , shows up reliably, and doesn't need to be told how to solve every problem. Pay:
$17.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
