Who We Are Thatcher Oaks Awning Company was founded in 1984 and has grown to become one of Chicagoland's leading commercial awning companies. We are a full-service awning manufacturer and installer serving restaurants, hotels, hospitals, retail businesses, and other commercial clients throughout the Chicago area. Who You Are We are looking for a dependable, hard-working Awning Installer who enjoys working outdoors, traveling to different job sites, and taking pride in quality craftsmanship. This is a hands-on, physically demanding position. The ideal candidate is comfortable working on ladders, using power tools, and safely lifting up to 100 lbs. Experience with commercial fasteners including expansion anchors and Tapcons is preferred. Carpentry, construction, sign installation, or similar trade experience is also valuable, as many of those skills transfer well to awning installation. What We're Looking For Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to work safely on ladders and at heights Ability to safely lift and maneuver heavy materials Experience with power and hand tools Knowledge of common construction fasteners Strong teamwork and communication skills Professional and courteous when working around customers Valid driver's license and clean driving record Experience driving with a trailer is a plus
