Fibertex in Ingleside IL is currently looking for Maintenance Technician for our day shiftJOB DESCRIPTION
The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment whether it be electrical or mechanical according to safety, predictive and preventative maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the business goals and objectives. Responsibilities- Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment. Measured by unplanned and planned stop times or downtime.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
- Become owner / responsible for specific parts of machines as well as work as a team member when performing repairs, preventative and predictive maintenance activities for entire plant.
- Perform maintenance skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, electrical controls, pneumatic, hydraulic, welding, plumbing troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
- Ensures all safety, quality, regulatory, and customer requirements and expectations are met.
- Must be able to read circuit diagrams/wiring schematics
- Siemens PLC/VFD experience (S7 and TIA Portal preferred) Allen Bradley VFD experience is also preferred
- Must be Team player who takes personal initiative.
- Must be able to identify potential technical issues and resolve them with minimal to no supervision while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Ability to lift at least 35 pounds.
- Must be available to work as requested on-call 24/7.
- Basic experience with MS Office. Basic understanding of the metric system preferred.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. Other duties, activities or responsibilities as assigned.
- Associates or Technical Degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of maintenance in a manufacturing setting or equivalent experience
- Commercial Electrical background preferred.
- Must have strong experience installing, troubleshooting and maintaining electrical/electronic control circuits.
Schedule:
Monday - Thursday 10 hour shift scheduleHours:
6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 10-hour shifts Days rotate Tuesday -Friday Hours:
6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Needs to be available some days for On Call, some overtime and weekends if neededIngleside IL:
