Monday through Friday from 6am to 2:30pm Overview Join our dynamic facilities team as a Commercial Building Maintenance Technician, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our commercial properties. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of maintenance tasks, from electrical and plumbing repairs to HVAC system troubleshooting and building interior upkeep. Your expertise will directly contribute to creating a comfortable, efficient environment for tenants, visitors, and staff alike. Responsibilities Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems including electrical equipment, HVAC units, plumbing systems, and mechanical components. Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and tools such as ohmmeters and hand tools. Conduct welding and carpentry tasks to address structural or cosmetic repairs within the facility. Maintain facilities equipment by inspecting, repairing, and replacing components as needed to ensure optimal operation. Execute painting projects—both interior building touch-ups and residential-style painting—to uphold the property's appearance standards. Read and interpret schematics for electrical, mechanical, or plumbing systems to facilitate accurate repairs. Support leadership in managing maintenance operations efficiently while providing excellent customer service to tenants and visitors. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in facilities maintenance and repair operations (MRO). Proficiency in electrical work including electrical equipment repair and troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters. Experience with HVAC system repair, including diagnosing issues and performing routine maintenance or component replacement. Skilled in plumbing system maintenance and repair, including pipe fitting, leak detection, and fixture repairs. Ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively for carpentry, painting, welding, and other maintenance tasks. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for building automation systems is a plus. Familiarity with schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to guide repairs accurately. Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate with team members and provide customer service to building occupants.
