Job Summary:

We are seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician to support maintenance operations at a clean, well-run bakery manufacturing facility in Alsip, IL. This is a great opportunity for someone with 1+ year of industrial maintenance experience, a recent graduate of a technical program, or someone coming out of an apprenticeship who is eager to learn and build their skills.

The Maintenance Technician will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and work closely with the production team to keep manufacturing equipment operating safely and efficiently.

Must Have Skills:

1+ year of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment OR recent completion of a relevant technical/trade program or apprenticeshipBasic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skillsExperience working with industrial/manufacturing machineryStrong willingness to learn and develop additional maintenance skillsAbility to work safely around moving equipment in a production environmentHigh school diploma or equivalentMust be at least 18 years of age

Job Duties:

Perform preventive, scheduled, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipmentTroubleshoot basic mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and plumbing issuesAssist production employees with equipment malfunctions and verify equipment is operating properly after repairsSupport equipment changeovers and preventative maintenance activitiesUse hand tools, power tools, drills, saws, and other maintenance equipment safelyDocument maintenance activities and findings in the maintenance management systemCommunicate maintenance updates with production and other team membersMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with GMPs and safety requirementsCoordinate maintenance activities with production and assist with external contractors as needed

Qualifications:
