You might spend your morning patching drywall and painting, and your afternoon installing a new ceiling fan or exterior door trim. You will communicate directly with homeowners, explaining the process clearly and leaving their homes clean and tidy. Key Responsibilities Perform a wide variety of residential repairs, maintenance, and improvements. Complete carpentry, drywall repair, painting, tile installation, and flooring projects. Handle basic, non-licensed plumbing and electrical tasks, such as replacing fixtures or repairing minor leaks. Install doors, trim, cabinets, shelving, and other finish carpentry items. Troubleshoot repair issues on-site and determine the most effective solutions. Maintain clear, professional communication with homeowners throughout each project. Document completed work and manage materials using company-provided tools. Qualifications Must-Have Requirements Proven experience working professionally as a carpenter, craftsman, or handyman. Strong practical knowledge in multiple trades, including carpentry, drywall, painting, and basic plumbing or electrical. Ownership of a standard set of professional hand and power tools. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. Strong communication skills and a polite, customer-focused attitude. Nice-to-Have Skills Prior experience performing home inspections or creating project estimates. Previous experience in a customer-facing role within the home services industry.
