Apartment Community Location:
Naperville, IL Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team at our vibrant apartment community in Naperville, IL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections to ensure the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of the property. This role requires a proactive individual with strong technical skills and a commitment to providing excellent service to our residents. The compensation range for this position is $23 to $28 per hour based on skill level and experience, plus quarterly bonus potential.
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with Saturdays required at times, when scheduled for emergency on-call Benefits What we offer you! Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations. Conduct regular inspections of apartments, common areas, and building systems to identify and address maintenance issues. Assist with turnover preparation and make-ready work for new residents. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and community policies. Snow removal Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance tools and storage areas. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role, preferably in residential or apartment communities. Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance. Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of mechanical and electrical systems. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Availability to respond to after-hours emergencies as needed. Work Environment This position involves working both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions. The Maintenance Technician will frequently use hand and power tools and may be required to lift heavy objects and climb ladders.
