From CNC machines to tempering furnaces, you'll handle routine and preventative maintenance that keeps our South Elgin facility running smoothly around the clock. We're looking for a self-starter who can work independently, think on their feet, and use good common sense to get the job done right the first time. Weekend work may be required based on business needs. Cat-i Glass participates in E-Verify to confirm employment eligibility after hire.
Essential Job Functions:
The primary responsibility of Maintenance includes electrical, plumbing, Must be able to complete work order forms, take direction, be organize, and effectively communicate with supervisors and management. Perform all aspects of property maintenance, including preventative, corrective, deferred and emergency maintenance. Maintain all maintenance areas and storage rooms in an orderly fashion and in compliance with safety regulations. Maintain accurate inventory control of tools, equipment and supplies. Perform maintenance inspections and repairs Serve as on-call maintenance on weekends and holiday emergency service. Ability and willingness to take direction and follow through as directed Ability to work independently, handling multiple tasks while maintaining a positive attitude Must be able to report to work as scheduled and on time. General computer skills Skills and/or
Competencies:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions. Basic computer skills Ability to write basic communication to understand on-the-job work standards. Ability to effectively present information in a one-on-one and/or small group. Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Education/Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of previous experience in manufacturing Welding experience a plus Manufacturing experience a plus
