ABM Industries is hiring a Floor Tech to support safe, clean, and efficient facilities. The Floor Tech performs routine and deep floor care, including stripping, waxing, buffing, burnishing, and carpet cleaning in commercial, education, healthcare, and industrial environments. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining floor care equipment, using chemicals safely, following safety and infection-control procedures, and responding to special cleaning requests. Responsibilities Perform routine and deep floor care, including stripping, waxing, buffing, and burnishing hard floors Clean and extract carpets and mats using appropriate equipment and methods Operate and maintain floor machines, auto-scrubbers, vacuums, and related tools safely Follow all safety, PPE, and chemical handling procedures, including use of SDS information Support infection control and sanitation standards in healthcare and high-traffic areas Respond to special cleaning requests, spills, and floor emergencies promptly Inspect floors and report damage, maintenance needs, or supply shortages to supervisors Work collaboratively with janitorial and facilities teams to meet service standards Follow assigned schedules, routes, and work orders efficiently Uphold ABM's standards of professionalism, customer service, and respect on client sites Required Skills Floor care equipment operation (buffers, burnishers, scrubbers) Strip and wax hard floors Carpet cleaning and extraction Chemical handling and dilution Basic equipment maintenance Safety and PPE compliance Bloodborne pathogen and biohazard awareness Infection control cleaning practices Time management and task prioritization Reading and following work orders/MSDS
