Maintenance Mechanic 12 PM - 8 PM | Overtime Available | Growing Industrial Facility Are you a mechanically minded technician looking for a role that offers variety, independence, and the opportunity to work on critical industrial equipment? We're seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join a growing operation where you'll be trusted to keep equipment running, solve mechanical problems, and play a key role in daily plant operations. Troubleshoot and repair compressors, pumps, valves, meters, and piping systems. Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and improve reliability. Diagnose mechanical equipment issues and implement effective repairs. Replace valves, fittings, seals, and other mechanical components. Perform routine servicing including lubrication, oil changes, and equipment inspections. Calibrate, test, and maintain field instrumentation and related equipment. Document maintenance activities, equipment performance, and operational findings. Coordinate with vendors and contractors to support specialized repairs and projects. Train and support facility personnel on equipment operation and maintenance procedures. Maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety and environmental standards. What We're Looking For At least 1 year of industrial maintenance, plant operations, or mechanical experience. Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical equipment. Experience working on pumps, compressors, valves, piping, or hydraulic systems. Ability to perform preventive maintenance and equipment repairs. Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn new systems and technologies. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field. Strong communication and documentation skills. Preferred Experience Power generation Chemical processing Oil & gas Water or wastewater treatment Industrial manufacturing Utilities or energy-related facilities Rotating equipment maintenance
Schedule Primary Schedule:
12:00 PM - 8:00
PM Flexibility Required:
Must be willing to support 2nd or 3rd shifts when needed Overtime opportunities available Weekend work may be required based on operational needs Work Environment This is a hands-on industrial maintenance position that includes both indoor and outdoor work. You'll spend time inspecting, maintaining, and repairing critical equipment throughout the facility while working alongside operations personnel and contractors. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wilmington, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
