Home Maintenance Technician Maintenance Technician Entry-Level Candidates Welcome! Golden Years Homestead | Greencroft Communities Fort Wayne, Indiana $14.44-$18.45/hour, based on experience Learn the trade while helping keep our community running. Golden Years Homestead is looking for a dependable Maintenance Technician to help with the day-to-day upkeep of our senior living community. If you have some hands-on experience, enjoy fixing things, or are interested in learning maintenance and building trades, this could be a good opportunity to get started. Previous maintenance experience is helpful, but we're willing to train the right person. What You'll Do Your day-to-day work may include: Completing maintenance requests and work orders Handling basic repairs and general building upkeep Painting and touch-up projects Floor care and other facility maintenance Helping with landscaping and seasonal outdoor work Keeping maintenance supplies, tools and equipment organized Following safety procedures and keeping work areas safe You'll work as part of a team to help make sure residents and staff have a safe, clean and well-maintained community. What You Need High school diploma or GED Valid driver's license Reliable and willing to learn Ability to perform hands-on maintenance and outdoor tasks Maintenance, construction, landscaping or skilled-trade experience is a plus, but not required Schedule Monday-Friday, daytime hours The position also includes rotating on-call evening and weekend coverage.
