Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic hospitality team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the hotel's facilities, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, and building interiors. Your expertise will help create a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our guests and staff. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and maintenance on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and building interior components to ensure optimal operation. Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools. Conduct welding, carpentry, painting, and general facilities maintenance tasks to uphold the property's appearance and functionality. Maintain facilities equipment including hand tools, electrical systems, plumbing systems, and HVAC units; ensure all repairs meet safety standards. Use Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and schedule preventive maintenance. Supervise or assist with maintenance projects, ensuring timely completion while adhering to safety protocols. Respond promptly to guest or staff maintenance requests with excellent customer service skills to resolve issues efficiently. Qualifications Proven experience in facilities maintenance or repair roles with knowledge of electrical work, plumbing, HVAC system repair, and building interior maintenance. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by hands-on skills with hand tools and electrical equipment repair. Familiarity with schematics, CMMS software, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical issues. Experience with welding, carpentry (including residential painting), plumbing system maintenance and repair, and general maintenance painting. Ability to read technical schematics and schematics related to HVAC systems or electrical wiring. Excellent communication skills in English; capable of supervising or leading small teams when necessary. Demonstrated leadership qualities with experience supervising or mentoring junior staff members. Knowledge of safety standards related to facilities maintenance including proper use of tools and equipment such as hand tools and electrical testing devices.
