Facilities Maintenance
LOCATION
Water Works Plant 1020 Canal Road Lafayette, IN 47904
HOURS:
8:00-4:00 Mon-Fri; overtime as needed
SALARY RANGE
$2,226.84 - $2,561.67 bi-weekly
DUTIES:
-Operate portable generators and welders Enter confined spaces Operate all types of power and hand tools Climb water towers and wells Perform long term maintenance activities such as building, grounds, equipment for water pumping and construction Help maintain records of repairs and services Plowing snow at the plant and throughout the city Help flush hydrants in the spring and/or fall Assist in any Water Works area as required
REQUIREMENTS
Must have high school diploma or equivalent. Must obtain and maintain a CDL Class B license within 9 months of hire. Ability to safely use materials in the maintenance of departmental equipment, facilities and vehicles. Ability to deal with heights and confined spaces. Responsible for following all safety rules, regulations and City policies. The City of Lafayette is an Equal Opportunity Employer
