Put your mechanical skills to work in a meaningful environment while helping maintain a beautiful campus that serves approximately 60 Sisters at the Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration in South Bend, Indiana. We're seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined Maintenance Technician who enjoys troubleshooting problems, working independently, and taking pride in keeping buildings, equipment, and property operating at their best. Whether you're a seasoned maintenance professional or someone with strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience, we'd love to hear from you. Why You'll Enjoy This Role ✅ Variety in your workday with both building and property maintenance responsibilities ✅ Opportunity to work independently while being part of a supportive team ✅ Stable, full-time employment in a mission-driven environment ✅ Meaningful work that directly contributes to the comfort and safety of our Sisters and visitors What You'll Do As a Maintenance Technician, you'll help ensure our buildings, systems, and grounds remain safe, efficient, and well-maintained through: Preventive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance Troubleshooting equipment and mechanical systems Responding to maintenance requests and completing repairs Testing, adjusting, and inspecting equipment for optimal performance Performing building rounds and system checks Operating hand tools and maintenance equipment Following all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements Working collaboratively with maintenance leadership and other departments What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is: Reliable, respectful, and self-motivated Comfortable working independently, especially during evening shifts Skilled at problem-solving and troubleshooting Able to communicate effectively with team members and leadership Physically capable of navigating multi-story buildings and walking throughout our campus In possession of a valid driver's license Schedule This full-time position includes a combination of day and evening shifts: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (6 days every two weeks) 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. (4 days every two weeks)
