Company thyssenkrupp integrated its Forging & Machining and Undercarriage businesses to start the new business unit Forged Technologies. With roughly 7,000 employees at 18 production sites in seven different countries, thyssenkrupp Forged Technologies has sales of over one billion euros and operates over 50 forging press lines and more than 150 machining and assembly lines in seven countries. The product portfolio includes undercarriage systems for heavy machinery as well as crankshafts, connecting rods, pistons, chassis products, transmission systems and rotor shafts for the automotive industry. Your responsibilities The Maintenance Tech reports to the Maintenance Manager and is responsible for the troubleshooting and repair of plant machinery, general plant building maintenance, and preventative maintenance actions. Machine and building repairs
Troubleshooting and repairing plant equipment
Robotic programming
Preventative maintenance
Diagnose, troubleshoot, update and repair malfunctioning plant equipment as well as plant building repairs
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair plant equipment involving checking voltages, changing out bad components, switching out gauges, as well as making camera and software adjustments
Understand PLCs and diagnose machine faults/failures related to servos, AC Motion Controls, robotics, VFDs & related electronic components
Perform routine mechanical or machining maintenance activities on equipment
Participate in preventative maintenance program based on OEMs (Original Equipment Manuals) for plant equipment, machinery, and related facilities
Maintain records of daily PM's and readings such as emissions, dust collector, amp on blast wheels, and conductivity for water treat system
Other responsibilities and projects as specified
Ability to read Electrical and Blueprint drawings to facilitate repairs Your profile Education/Credentials/Certifications High School Diploma or Equivalent
Specialized training in mechanics trade or related field preferred
Length of Experience
3-5 years of hands-on experience in maintenance in a manufacturing setting Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Willingness to learn
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
Understanding of standard to metric conversions
Excellent mechanical skills with a focus on mechanical presses
Strong understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers (Allen Bradley/Siemens), robotics (ABB/Fanuc), and electrical control systems
Capable of troubleshooting through complex mechanical, electrical and automation failures
Proficient in pneumatic and hydraulic symbols and systems
Skilled in welding and fabrication
Excellent communication skills
Ability to convert metric to standard and basic mathematical ability
Excellent reasoning and problem-solving ability
Ability to follow step-by-step instructions
Ability to operate a variety of maintenance equipment in a safe and effective manner
