Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Handyman Technician with experience in residential maintenance, repairs, or construction. House Doctors of Kaw Valley provides professional handyman and home improvement services throughout Riley, Shawnee, Douglas, Johnson County, and surrounding areas. Our technicians help homeowners complete repairs, maintenance, and improvement projects ranging from small fixes to larger upgrades. Key Responsibilities Complete handyman and home improvement projects such as drywall repairs, painting, flooring, carpentry, and general maintenance. Deliver outstanding customer service on every job. Safely operate and maintain tools and equipment. Keep work areas clean and professional. Communicate clearly with customers and team members. Assist with project estimates and identify customer needs when appropriate. Represent House Doctors professionally in the community. Arrive on time and prepared to complete assigned work. Qualifications Required Skills & Experience 1-3 years of experience in residential maintenance, construction, remodeling, landscaping, roofing, painting, or a related trade preferred. Basic knowledge of carpentry, drywall, painting, and general home repairs. Ability to learn new skills and follow established processes. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Professional attitude and excellent customer service skills. Dependable work ethic and positive attitude. Physical Requirements Ability to perform physical labor, including bending, climbing, lifting 50+ pounds, and operating hand and power tools. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Additional Requirements Valid driver's license with a good driving record. Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. Basic hand tools preferred (tool rebate program available).
