Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Handyman to join our team and ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks across building interiors, mechanical systems, electrical equipment, plumbing, and facilities infrastructure. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical wiring, plumbing systems, and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance. Conduct repairs using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics to address issues promptly. Maintain building interiors through painting, carpentry, drywall repair, and general facilities upkeep. Troubleshoot electrical problems using electrical experience and tools such as ohmmeters; repair or replace electrical components as needed. Manage plumbing repairs including leak fixes, pipe replacements, and maintenance of plumbing systems. Oversee maintenance painting projects and supervise minor renovation tasks to improve facility aesthetics. Utilize schematics and technical manuals for complex repairs involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs) or electrical equipment. Support maintenance operations by supervising team members when necessary, demonstrating leadership and ensuring safety standards are met. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and parts inventory related to maintenance, repair and operations (MRO). Respond effectively to emergency repairs or urgent facility issues to minimize downtime. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in building interior maintenance and facilities equipment upkeep. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, schematics, and the use of an ohmmeter for electrical diagnostics. Extensive electrical experience including electrical work on building systems and electrical equipment repair. Skilled in plumbing system maintenance and repair with a solid understanding of plumbing codes and practices. Knowledge of HVAC system repair including troubleshooting thermostats, fans, compressors, filters and ductwork. Ability to read technical schematics related to PLCs (programmable logic controllers) for automation troubleshooting. Experience with residential painting as well as maintenance painting for commercial or industrial facilities. Familiarity with carpentry tasks such as framing, drywall installation/repair, door/window adjustments. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English; capable of supervising teams effectively. Demonstrated leadership qualities with experience supervising maintenance staff or projects in a facilities environment.
