General Laborer Job Description This role involves performing a wide range of carpentry and general construction tasks, including cutting, assembling, and installing wood components. You will work with both hand and power tools to support various construction and woodworking projects while maintaining high standards of quality and safety throughout the production process. Responsibilities Cut, assemble, and install wood components according to project specifications and measurements. Perform general carpentry tasks using hand tools and power tools, including table saws and other woodworking equipment. Measure materials accurately using tape measures to ensure precise cuts and proper fit. Assist with general construction and general labor duties as needed to support ongoing projects. Operate woodworking tools and equipment safely and efficiently in a production environment. Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and project requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all safety guidelines and procedures. Handle and move materials, lumber, and components throughout the worksite or production area. Essential Skills Hands-on experience in carpentry, including cutting, assembling, and installing wood components. Proficiency in using hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, and tape measures. Ability to safely operate power tools, including table saws and other woodworking equipment. Construction or general labor environments. Capability to read and follow basic measurements and instructions accurately. Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
