1st shift ( 7:30 am- 4:30 pm M-F) SUMMARY The Maintenance Technician is responsible for conducting preventative and corrective maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures. They ensure heating & cooling, electrical & mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems perform at optimum functionality. They also perform troubleshooting and general maintenance tasks including landscaping, carpentry, painting, and other related tasks, as needed. It is essential to coordinate with all departments to ensure operational performance in all areas.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs preventative maintenance and general repair tasks as assigned to support each department, the production effort, and the facilities systems. Monitor contracted maintenance and services on overhead cranes, fork trucks, HVAC equipment, air compressors, fire alarm and sprinkler systems, etc. Assist production personnel in troubleshooting and identifying causes of equipment malfunctions. Assist production management in determining necessity of involving contracted services, such as licensed electricians, overhead crane technicians, etc., for repairs. Assist production and engineering with design, fabrication, and/or repair of jigs, workstation modifications, etc. Survey buildings and perform inspections to systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety regulations. Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel, and follow safety protocols.
EDUCATION & TRAINING
Associates degree or equivalent on-the-job training and experience in industrial maintenance preferred. Certificates in HVAC, electrical, plumbing or another relevant field desirable.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE
Above average mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Experience in operating a variety of equipment and hand and power tools. Ability to operate Microsoft Office or related software. Basic knowledge of AC/DC electricity, electric motors, electronic and programmable controls, etc. Basic knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics and related devices such as pumps, actuators, etc. Ability to organize information and plan tasks efficiently. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively prioritize work. Capable of working with minimal direct supervision or direction following appropriate training. Proactively observes all relevant safety, health, and environmental regulations. Two years' experience in a similar role preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Physically capable and available to work overtime including some weekends, holidays, or evenings as required. Comfortable working at heights and able to lift, carry, push and/or pull 1 - 60 lbs. frequently. Excellent manual dexterity. Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward occasionally. Sit, stand, and walk for 10 hours per day or more. Ability to work both in a 55 - 90-degree Fahrenheit manufacturing and an office work environment. Occasional outdoor work in cold and hot conditions and inclement weather likely. Exposure to chemicals, mechanical and electrical hazards, and other physical substances. Work in a fast-paced industrial environment wearing hearing protection, eye protection, steel-toed shoes, and other appropriate personal protective equipment, as required.
