Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Repair or replace faulty components through welding, mechanical adjustments, or electrical work in accordance with safety standards. Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and control automated equipment processes. Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to diagnose problems accurately. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and schedule future tasks. Lead or assist with facilities maintenance projects including residential painting or structural repairs as needed. Supervise or mentor junior technicians or contractors during maintenance tasks to ensure quality and safety compliance. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and conducting regular safety inspections. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance for production efficiency. Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally. Proven experience in facilities maintenance within manufacturing or industrial environments. Strong electrical experience with the ability to troubleshoot circuits using tools like ohmmeters. Mechanical knowledge including familiarity with schematics, welding techniques, and mechanical repairs. Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation control systems. Skilled in reading technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals for complex machinery. Prior use of CMMS software for maintenance tracking is highly desirable. Supervising experience is a plus—demonstrating leadership in coordinating maintenance activities or managing teams. Knowledge of residential painting techniques can be an asset for certain repair projects. Excellent communication skills in English to effectively document work orders and collaborate with team members.
