Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Floor Technician to join our brand new facility and dedicated team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of various flooring types in commercial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of custodial practices, floor care techniques, and the ability to operate specialized cleaning equipment. The Floor Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all building occupants. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of floors, including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing. Conduct carpet cleaning using appropriate techniques and equipment to ensure high standards of cleanliness. Inspect flooring surfaces for damage or wear and report any issues to management. Utilize environmental services best practices to maintain hygiene standards in all areas. Operate floor care equipment safely and efficiently, including scrubbers, buffers, and vacuums. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; notify management when supplies are low. Follow safety protocols and guidelines while performing cleaning tasks to ensure a safe work environment. Collaborate with other custodial staff to ensure comprehensive cleaning coverage across all areas. Qualifications Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning preferred. Knowledge of floor care techniques, including buffing and carpet cleaning methods. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results. Ability to operate various floor care equipment safely and effectively. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment. Must be physically capable of performing the duties required, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
