Job Description
HPC Industrial powered by Clean Harbors is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair industrial equipment supporting utilities and energy operations. In this safety-first, field-based role, you will troubleshoot mechanical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and support turnaround and outage activities at client sites. Responsibilities include inspecting pumps, motors, rotating equipment, and hydraulic systems; replacing parts; reading technical manuals and schematics; and documenting all work. You'll work in a team environment with strong safety training, opportunities to build technical skills, and paths to advance into lead or specialist roles. Responsibilities Inspect, maintain, and repair industrial mechanical equipment, including pumps, motors, and rotating machinery Perform preventive maintenance, lubrication, and equipment checks per schedules and procedures Troubleshoot mechanical and basic hydraulic or pneumatic issues to minimize downtime Read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and equipment schematics Document maintenance activities, parts used, and equipment status accurately Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout, and company compliance standards Support turnarounds, outages, and field projects at client facilities Collaborate with supervisors and team members to prioritize and complete work orders Required Skills Industrial equipment maintenance Mechanical troubleshooting Preventive maintenance Hydraulic and pneumatic systems basics Pump and motor repair Use of hand and power tools Reading schematics and technical drawings Lockout/tagout procedures Industrial safety practices Maintenance documentation and CMMS use
