Aspen Environmental Services is looking for a dependable, hands-on Shop Foreman with carpentry and mechanical skills to manage and maintain our Methuen warehouse, tools, equipment, vehicles, and inventory. This is not just a warehouse position . We are looking for someone who knows how to work with their hands, can build and repair things, takes pride in keeping a shop organized, and can make sure our crews have what they need to get out the door and complete their jobs successfully. The ideal candidate has experience in carpentry, construction, building maintenance, equipment/tool repair, or a similar skilled trade and is comfortable working independently while supporting our field crews, Project Managers, Superintendents, and office staff. Experience in HVAC, mold remediation, water damage restoration, air duct cleaning, or building performance is a plus, but not required.

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Shop & Warehouse Management Take ownership of the day-to-day organization and operation of the shop Keep the warehouse clean, organized, safe, and professional Maintain designated locations for tools, equipment, materials, and supplies Receive, organize, and put away incoming materials and equipment Maintain appropriate stock levels so crews have the materials they need Perform shop and truck material inventories at least twice per month Maintain accurate tool and equipment inventory records Identify materials and supplies that need to be reordered Run occasional errands for parts, tools, materials, and supplies Carpentry, Repairs & Maintenance Perform basic carpentry and construction-related work as needed Build, repair, modify, and maintain shelving, storage systems, work areas, and other shop items Repair and maintain small tools and equipment Troubleshoot damaged or malfunctioning equipment Determine whether tools and equipment can be repaired in-house or need professional service Keep tools clean, functional, and ready for field use Assist with miscellaneous building and office maintenance projects Vehicle & Crew Support Perform routine visual checks of company trucks and vans Check oil, fluids, lights, tire pressure, and general vehicle condition Complete required vehicle maintenance/check forms Notify management of maintenance or repair issues Help crews load trucks and vans when necessary Make sure crews have the correct tools, equipment, and materials before leaving for jobs Help unload, inspect, and organize equipment returning from jobs Team Support Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, field crews, and office staff Complete daily shop opening/check-in and closing/check-out procedures Handle miscellaneous tasks assigned by Project Managers and Superintendents Help solve day-to-day problems that keep our crews and operations moving
THE PERSON WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We want someone who is a self-starter and problem solver . You should be the type of person who sees something broken and fixes it, sees something disorganized and straightens it out, and notices we're running low on something before the crews run out.
Qualified candidates should have:
Carpentry and general construction skills Experience using hand and power tools Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic tool/equipment repairs Strong organizational skills Ability to manage inventory and keep accurate records Ability to work independently without constant supervision Ability to communicate and work well with field crews and management Ability to safely lift and move construction materials, tools, and equipment Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Valid driver's license and clean/reliable driving history
EXPERIENCE THAT IS A PLUS
Experience in any of the following is helpful: Carpentry General construction Warehouse/shop management Building maintenance Tool and equipment repair HVAC Mold remediation Water damage restoration Air duct cleaning Building performance/weatherization You do not need experience in every area. We are more interested in finding someone who is mechanically inclined, dependable, organized, and knows how to get things done.
