About this opportunity : The Facilities Service Technician II is responsible for performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities that support the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of facility infrastructure, utilities, and building systems. This position performs a wide variety of building and grounds maintenance tasks while ensuring company facilities remain in excellent operating condition. The technician responds promptly to service requests, supports facility improvement projects, coordinates contractors, and assists with equipment installations and repairs in accordance with safety regulations, cGMP requirements, and company procedures. The Facilities Service Technician II works collaboratively with Facilities Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, EHS, and external contractors to maintain a safe, efficient, and well-maintained campus.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute assigned preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities in accordance with departmental schedules, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility infrastructure, including building systems, offices, laboratories, warehouses, and exterior grounds. Complete assigned work orders accurately and within established response and completion timelines using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Troubleshoot and repair basic facility systems including: Plumbing and piping Electrical systems Fire Alarm Lighting Doors and hardware Building finishes Perform seasonal maintenance including snow removal coordination, landscaping support, parking lot inspections, and exterior building maintenance. Assist Equipment Maintenance Technicians with repairs and maintenance of process and facility support equipment as directed. Support equipment installations, office renovations, facility modifications, and infrastructure improvement projects.
Job Knowledge Required:
High School Diploma or GED required. Associate degree or technical certification in Facilities Maintenance, Building Trades, Mechanical Technology, Electrical Technology, HVAC, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 5 years of commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or manufacturing maintenance experience. Knowledge and understanding of cGMP regulations and practices. Ability to safely operate common maintenance tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and material handling equipment. Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as SAP, Blue Mountain, Maximo, or equivalent. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and safe work practices. Understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and regulated manufacturing environments preferred The annualized salary range for this position is $68,000 - $83,000.
