Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable, skilled, and hands-on Residential Building Maintenance Worker to oversee the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of several residential buildings in Quincy, MA. This is a full-time, year-round position for someone who takes pride in keeping properties safe, functional, and presentable. The ideal candidate is local, responsive, and experienced in general building maintenance. This role requires strong communication skills in English , a valid driver's license , and the flexibility to respond to texts or urgent requests promptly .
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general handyman tasks Conduct regular inspections of units, common areas, and building systems Clean and organize storage areas, utility rooms, and maintenance spaces Address urgent maintenance calls and emergencies with professionalism and urgency Assist with apartment turnover tasks (e.g., painting, cleaning, minor repairs) Maintain exterior areas (e.g., sidewalks, trash areas, light landscaping) Collaborate with property management on scheduling and updates Be available and responsive to after-hours emergencies or urgent requests when needed
Requirements:
Proven experience in building maintenance, general repairs, or a related field Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general building systems Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks Must speak and understand English Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation Must live near or within Quincy, MA and be available on-call as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with residential property maintenance Familiarity with basic tools and power equipment Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-first mindset
