OF DUTIES
The Facilities Maintenance Technician works independently to keep town buildings clean, safe, and fully functional. Daily tasks include comprehensive custodial care, floor maintenance, light mechanical repairs (such as fixing doors and locks), and seasonal outdoor upkeep like landscaping and snow removal. This role operates under the general direction of the Facilities Director, utilizing digital work order software and email to log requests, document completed tasks, and coordinate with staff and vendors.
MIN. QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and possess the physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds in varying indoor and outdoor weather conditions. The position requires a strong working knowledge of maintenance trades, tools, and safety procedures, alongside basic computer skills. While not strictly required, three years of facility experience and an OSHA 10 certification are highly preferred.
COMPENSATION
Grade 4 Non-Union Pay Scale $23.19-$24.97 per hour DOQ, with anticipation that the position will grow, 15 hours per week: Monday through Friday, schedule may vary.
