Maintenance Technician:
Responsible for maintenance operations of the interior and exterior areas of the building. Responds to residents' maintenance concerns. Responds and maintains all building related safety concerns and resident requests. Maintain all areas of Thirwood Place by performing various tasks related to a variety of trades including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, painting, wall covering, and tile to ensure attractive and well-maintained facility. Survey building and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards. Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary. Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality. Replenishing supplies and keeping storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy. Setting meeting spaces and garbage removal. Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.) Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide Conduct general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.) Basic understanding of electrical, and other systems Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaners and carpet extractor. Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing and polishing floors as necessary. Remove debris from driveways, garages, and swimming pool area. Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
