Job Description
Job Title:
Maintenance Technician/Mechanic- 1st or 3rd Shift Job Description This role oversees and participates in daily maintenance operations on 1st or 3rd shift within a food manufacturing environment.
Pay:
$32- $40/hr
Responsibilities:
Oversee preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and keep all equipment in safe and reliable working order. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and facility issues using structured root cause analysis methods. Diagnose and repair issues involving hydraulics, pneumatics, and other industrial systems to restore equipment functionality. Coordinate specialized repairs, upgrades, and capital projects with external contractors and service providers. Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations and lead safety training initiatives for the maintenance team. Promote a strong safety culture by modeling safe work practices and enforcing safety policies and procedures. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, logs, and equipment histories within the CMMS. Collaborate closely with production and other departments to minimize downtime and improve equipment uptime. Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure timely availability of parts, equipment, and services. Support adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food manufacturing standards in all maintenance activities. Essential Skills 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment- preferably food manufacturing Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and facility systems.
- 3:00pm Monday through Friday, or 10:00pm
- 7:00am, Sunday
- Thursday with occasional overtime and Saturday work as needed based on production demands.
- $83200.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
