Job Title:
Maintenance Technician Job Description The Maintenance Technician works within a manufacturing facility to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment, including mills, lathes, high horse-power motors, electrical systems, and electric-driven filter systems. The role focuses heavily on preventative maintenance to ensure reliable and safe operation of manufacturing equipment. This is a contract position with the opportunity to convert to a full-time role based on performance and department goals. Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including mills, lathes, CNC machines, high horse-power motors, and electric-driven filter systems to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to restore equipment to safe and efficient operation. Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to diagnose issues and complete repairs accurately. Use hand and power tools safely and effectively for mechanical assembly, disassembly, adjustment, and repair of equipment components. Diagnose and repair CNC mills and related equipment from various manufacturers to maintain precise and reliable machining operations. Perform electrical and pneumatic troubleshooting, including control systems, to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. Inspect equipment regularly, identify potential issues, and complete maintenance tasks in accordance with established schedules and procedures. Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used to maintain accurate records and support continuous improvement. Collaborate with production and other maintenance team members to prioritize work, support production goals, and ensure equipment readiness. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working with machinery, tools, and materials in a manufacturing environment. Essential Skills Proven experience working as a maintenance technician in an industrial manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience repairing CNC mills and related equipment. Strong mechanical skills, including mechanical assembly, repair, and troubleshooting. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Proficiency with hand and power tools used in mechanical and electrical maintenance. Experience with electrical troubleshooting, including control systems and high horse-power motors. Experience with pneumatic systems, including troubleshooting and repair. Experience with hydraulic systems, including troubleshooting and repair. Demonstrated ability to perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment. High School Diploma or GED. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior industrial manufacturing background with exposure to mills, lathes, and machine shop equipment. Familiarity with electric-driven filter systems and related components. Strong troubleshooting mindset with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions. Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team in a fast-paced production environment. Solid communication skills to coordinate with production and other departments. Work Environment The role is based in a climate-controlled machine shop within a manufacturing facility. While performing the duties of this job, employees regularly stand, use their hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and communicate verbally. They are occasionally required to walk. The position requires frequently lifting and/or moving 25-50 pounds, and using a hoist or crane for heavier objects. Work is performed around mills, lathes, CNC equipment, high horse-power motors, and other industrial machinery. The schedule includes a first shift from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and a second shift from 1:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, within a structured manufacturing environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of White Settlement, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
