Job Title:
Maintenance Technician / Building Engineer Job Description This role combines hands-on mechanical and electrical maintenance with building engineering responsibilities across multiple facilities. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment and building systems, support production teams with technical guidance, and help ensure a safe, clean, and efficient manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Train production workers on routine preventive maintenance procedures to help reduce downtime and extend equipment life. Provide mechanical and electrical maintenance support by answering questions, responding to requests, and troubleshooting issues as they arise. Perform electrical troubleshooting on industrial equipment and building systems, including diagnosing faults and implementing effective repairs. Carry out mechanical repairs and maintenance on equipment using knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and general mechanical systems. Conduct PLC troubleshooting to identify control issues and support the reliable operation of automated equipment. Perform welding and related fabrication or repair tasks as needed to maintain or restore equipment and infrastructure. Requisition supplies, parts, and materials required to complete repairs and preventive maintenance activities in a timely manner. Prepare maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends on equipment performance and maintenance activities. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following established procedures, rules, and regulations. Travel between multiple company facilities as needed to perform maintenance and support operations. Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall reliability and efficiency of the manufacturing operation. Essential Skills Proven experience as a maintenance technician or building engineer in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Strong electrical skills, including electrical troubleshooting of industrial equipment and building systems. Hands-on mechanical maintenance skills, including experience with repair and upkeep of industrial machinery. Working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics and their application in manufacturing equipment. Experience with PLC troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve control system issues. Ability to perform welding tasks safely and effectively for maintenance and repair purposes. Capability to train production workers on routine preventive maintenance procedures. Ability to prepare clear maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data on maintenance activities and trends. Reliable transportation to travel between and maintain multiple company facilities. Strong commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment by following procedures, rules, and regulations. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working in a manufacturing facility or similar industrial setting. Comfort working independently across multiple sites while managing priorities and schedules. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues. Effective communication skills to collaborate with production workers, leadership, and other maintenance personnel. Organizational skills to manage maintenance documentation, reports, and requisitions for supplies and materials. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based in a manufacturing facility environment and supports multiple sites. You will work primarily on a first shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The role involves working around industrial equipment, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and automated machinery. You can expect a hands-on setting that may include noise, moving machinery, and the need to follow strict safety procedures and regulations. Appropriate work attire and personal protective equipment are required to ensure safety while performing maintenance and repair tasks. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Catoosa, OK. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
