Job Description
Maintenance Technician II
- 1st Shift Eaton's
IS AER FED
division is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician II- 1st Shift to join our team in Beltsville, MD! The hourly rate for this position is $33.50 per hour. The core hours are 7 am
- 3:30 pm.
- Perform intermediate break-fix and preventative maintenance with minimal supervision, including troubleshooting industrial equipment, dismantling equipment to remove and repair and/or replace defective parts, adjusting functional parts and control instruments within equipment, and testing equipment to observe performance.
- Construct and alter physical facilities to accommodate changes or improvements.
- Independently perform facilities and routine industrial maintenance.
- Assists other technicians on more complex maintenance issues.
- Provides support to other Technician I's and Apprentices as directed by leadership.
- Perform electrical power work under the direction of electrician, including running wires and cables, installing fixtures, and performing testing and diagnostics.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience in industrial maintenance or Associates degree with a technical focus from an accredited institution & a minimum of 1 year of related experience in industrial maintenance.

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in CNC machining maintenance.
Skills:
- Complies with all national and local safety and environmental standards, guidelines and policies by driving EBS/World class workforce initiatives such as ISO14001 and/or applicable regional initiatives.
- Understanding of how to use precision gauging instruments.
- Ability to proactively work with other team members under limited supervision.
- This position requires standing and/or walking for an entire eight
- twelve hours with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to comprehend and follow technical standards and maintenance procedures.
- This job requires working daily with lubricants and solvents.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to understand electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems and analyze problems and perform repairs
