Job Description

Maintenance Technician Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for preserving the good condition and functionality of premises. With a practical mind and attention to detail. The Maintenance Technician must be able to work freely and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines.
Essential Functions:
Inspect and maintain the building and grounds. Respond to resident requests and work with residents to minimize/resolve problems and complaints. Follow-through to ensure the issue is resolved. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as HVAC, painting, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work. Repair and replace broken or malfunctioning equipment. Maintain a safe working environment by following safety protocols. Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and systems. Keep records of all maintenance activities and supplies used. May drive company vehicle from community. May supervise the work of other associates and outside contractors. May perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills/Educational Requirements:
Level of Formal Education:
A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education.
Experience:
Previous experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a commercial or residential setting. Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong customer service skills to interact with tenants and address their maintenance needs.
Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
