Job Description

Maintenance Technician
Position Summary:
Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the physical plant including all buildings, grounds on campus and all other off-campuses as needed.
Essential Functions:
To dismantle machines or equipment to gain access to replace defective parts.
  • To respond to work order requests for service.
  • To dismantle machinery or equipment to gain access to replace defective parts.
  • To paint wall, woodwork and ceilings using paint rollers and brushes.
  • To repair window and door hardware.
  • To measure and install pipe and tubing for gas and water systems.
  • To move furniture and prepare for special events.
  • To remove ice and snow throughout campus.
  • To inspect machinery, buildings, and grounds for defects for future repair.
  • To help in all agency clean up and set ups for functions.
  • Check-in vendors to the campus, obtain confidentiality agreements, review work safety plans and training, obtain sign off on work safety expectations.
  • Respond to emergency situations.
  • Complete monthly safety inspections.
  • Complete light electrical work.
  • Complete light plumbing issues.
  • Rotate within the on-call coverage schedule
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday. This position regularly requires flexible and long hours, and a weekend/after hours rotating on-call. This position is eligible for flex schedule within the pay week per Everstand's policy and supervisor approval. This position is essential during inclement weather.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years' experience performing a variety of maintenance activities.
