Job Summary:
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing general maintenance duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintaining cleanliness of power equipment including: forklift, pallet jacks, sweeper, scrubber, tugger, reach trucks, wrap machines, dock lock, leveler, and clamp attachments.
Perform preventative maintenance on power equipment.
Perform general warehouse maintenance duties to maintain a safe and professional work environment both in and outside the warehouse, including assisting with equipment maintenance and minor building and equipment repairs.
Possess a level of proficiency in all maintenance required programs including the recycling programs, lock out/tag out procedures and hazardous materials.
Operate powered equipment including: forklift, pallet jack, tugger, clamp attachments and sweeper/scrubber.
Read schematics
Responsible for minor facility and equipment repairs
Ability to accommodate flexible schedules to include nights, weekends, holidays and on-call requests.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED. College coursework, continuing technical education or comparable business experience is a plus.
Previous mechanical experience 1 to 2 years.
Accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to use email, word-processing, spreadsheets, WMS and other applications
Ability to accommodate flexible schedules to meet the needs of the member to include nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to work in warehouse environment which includes heat, cold, noise, dust
Utilize equipment for the job safely and accurately after training (such as computer, handheld tracker, copiers, scanners, printers, radio headsets, etc.
