We are seeking a reliable and skilled Apartment Maintenance Technician to join a residential apartment community in Hyattsville, MD. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with apartment maintenance experience who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining residential properties while providing outstanding service to residents.

$24-$29/hourJoin a Leading Property Management Team!We are seeking a reliable and skilled Apartment Maintenance Technician to join a residential apartment community in Hyattsville, MD. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with apartment maintenance experience who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining residential properties while providing outstanding service to residents.
Responsibilities
- Complete resident service requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform general maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, painting, and appliance repairs.
- Prepare vacant apartments for new move-ins by completing make-ready work.
- Conduct preventative maintenance throughout the property.
- Assist with maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the community grounds and common areas.
- Troubleshoot maintenance issues and determine appropriate repairs.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company policies.
- Participate in the on-call rotation for emergency maintenance, as needed.
- At least 1 year of apartment maintenance experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, and general maintenance.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
- HVAC Certification (EPA Universal or Type II) is a plus but not required.
- Valid driver s license and reliable transportation preferred.
