Employee Assistance Program, jury duty leave, bereavement leave, and more Key Responsibilities for the Hotel Maintenance or Hotel Engineer include: Maintenance and Repairs Oversee routine maintenance and emergency repairs for hotel equipment, systems, and infrastructure (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and elevators). Perform or supervise preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend the life of equipment. Facility Operations Ensure all hotel facilities, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, are in excellent condition. Maintain compliance with brand standards for property upkeep and appearance. Safety and Compliance Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including fire safety and building codes. Perform regular safety inspections and maintain records of certifications and inspections. Energy Management Monitor and manage energy consumption to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Implement energy-saving initiatives and sustainable practices. Collaboration with Other Departments Work closely with housekeeping, front desk, and food & beverage teams to address maintenance needs promptly and support guest satisfaction. Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or large-scale projects. What We Are Looking for in a Hotel Maintenance or Hotel Engineer includes: High school diploma or equivalent
Technical Skills Building Systems Expertise:
In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems, as well as elevators and fire safety equipment.
Preventive Maintenance:
Skills in developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules for long-term efficiency.
Troubleshooting and Repair:
Ability to diagnose and repair issues promptly across a variety of hotel systems
Energy Management:
Understanding energy-efficient practices and systems to reduce costs and improve sustainability.
Technical Certifications:
Certifications like HVAC Technician, Electrician License, or OSHA safety training are preferred.
Customer-Focused Mindset Guest Sensitivity:
