Job Description

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Support of Agency and Program Missions Commitment to the philosophy of Catherine Cobb Safe House; including but not limited to client confidentiality. Assess building and grounds for routine maintenance and repair. Complete preventative maintenance as needed. Coordinate and complete all staff maintenance requests. Assume other duties as assigned by the Residential Services Manager and/or the Executive Director. Professionalism Be a self-starter and able to efficiently work with little to no supervision. Pay attention to accuracy, detail, and appearance of work. Be able to prioritize, work within a budget, and communicate effectively with Residential Services Manager and Executive Director. Reflect a favorable image when representing the agency during interactions with clients, staff, the general public, and/or when obtaining quotes from other professionals. Job Knowledge Have knowledge of and comply with all best practices and rules of safety requirements. Experience in the area of general building and ground maintenance. Including but not limited to having a proven background in plumbing, electrical, and basic carpentry. Initiative/Creativity 1. Possesses the ability to solve minor problems independently and make appropriate recommendations and referrals. 2. Is able to prioritize and manage time efficiently.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Ability to ascend/descend stairs
  • Light-medium lifting
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
QUALIFICATIONS
High school degree or equivalent.
  • Willing to be on-call evenings and weekends in case of emergency/crisis.
SALARY:
As determined by current salary schedule.
