Job Description

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
•ALBION, MIThe company is looking for skilled
MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANS.
Our Maintenance Technicians are responsible for providing support to achieve optimal levels of productivity, quality, and safety.

Pay Range 24.00•33.00 with a $2.00 SHP, depending on experience. A maintenance exam will be administered to determine level of pay. Typical hours are 7AM to 7PM or 7PM to 7AM, every other weekend•3 DAYS OFF exact days depend on shift!

The company specializes in the manufacture and distribution of dry ice and liquid carbon dioxide. Nippon Sanso Matheson maintains a reliable network of 50 dry ice distribution facilities located strategically throughout its service area. This integrated distribution network ensures that Nippon Sanso Matheson can quickly react to customers' needs.
Responsibilities:
Maintain production equipment in safe, optimal operating conditions to help ensure the protection of all plant employees and visitorsConduct continuous monitoring of production and process equipment for proper operationPerform preventive maintenance and repair of production equipment from blueprints, technical manuals, or vendor specificationsRecognize and perform machine adjustments to the various manufacturing machine systemsDetermine corrective actions based on operational and trouble messages provided byProgrammable Logic Controls (PLC) Display Monitors or other similar display panelsAssisting with installation, testing, and validation of new production equipmentUnderstands, follows, and maintains proper records for Process Safety Management procedures and requirementsParticipate in and oversee equipment changeovers as necessaryNotify management of any potential equipment issues or other noted abnormalitiesAssist management in training manufacturing employees in the proper use of equipmentMaintain organization of Maintenance Repair Area and any other area where repair work is in progressAssist coworkers with production or other tasks as requested
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year technical degree or any other related certifications or training is a plusMinimum of 4 years of maintenance experience within manufacturing environment (preferably within extrusions or compressions environments with hydraulic/pneumatic equipment)Experience with hydraulics, screw compressors, mechanics, electrical systems and troubleshooting PLC'sExperience with robotics a plusExperience with large ammonia refrigeration systems a plusMust be able to lift 30 pounds, climb stairs and ladders, and work in tight spaces in and around machinery.

Must pass pre-employment drug screen, employment history verification, and background checkA Maintenance Skill Level Exam will be administered to determine pay level.
