Competitive, based on experience About the Position We are looking for an experienced and dependable Home & Property Maintenance Technician to handle general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep for residential and company properties. The ideal candidate should be a hands-on, experienced maintenance person who can troubleshoot and complete a wide variety of repairs independently. We are looking for someone who can handle more than basic maintenance and is comfortable working with plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry, painting, and general property repairs. Responsibilities Perform general maintenance and repairs for homes and properties Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing issues, including faucets, toilets, sinks, pipes, drains, and water leaks Perform basic electrical repairs such as outlets, switches, light fixtures, breakers, and troubleshooting Repair and finish drywall, including patching holes, taping, mudding, sanding, and painting Perform basic carpentry and wood repairs Install and repair doors, locks, cabinets, shelves, hardware, and fixtures Perform interior and exterior painting and touch-up work Repair flooring, trim, baseboards, and other household items Handle minor appliance and equipment repairs when qualified Perform routine property inspections and identify maintenance issues Help prepare properties for tenants, move-ins, and move-outs Maintain and organize tools and maintenance supplies Respond to urgent maintenance problems when necessary Keep properties clean, safe, and in good working condition Work independently and complete projects in a timely manner Communicate clearly regarding repair needs, materials, and completed work Qualifications Previous hands-on property maintenance experience required Strong experience with plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry, painting, and general repairs Ability to diagnose problems and determine the appropriate repair Must be comfortable using common hand and power tools Ability to work independently with limited supervision Reliable, punctual, and responsible Good communication and problem-solving skills Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to travel between properties as needed Must be able to lift, carry, bend, climb ladders, and perform physical maintenance work Preferred Qualifications Experience maintaining rental properties or multiple residential properties Experience with HVAC troubleshooting Experience with basic appliance repair Experience with property inspections and preventative maintenance Basic knowledge of building codes and safe work practices Ability to estimate materials and labor for repair projects What We Are Looking For We are looking for a "can-do" person who is comfortable fixing things and figuring out problems. The right candidate should be able to look at a maintenance issue, understand what needs to be done, and either complete the repair or clearly communicate when a licensed professional is required. This position is ideal for someone with broad residential/property maintenance experience, rather than someone limited to one specific trade.
