Entry Level Maintenance Technician Bay Cast is an industry leader in the large format specialty steel casting and machining industry. We service a wide variety of manufacturing sectors such as Aerospace, Defense, Power Generation, Automotive, Mining and Construction We currently have an entry level Maintenance Technician position open at our foundry. Pay for this position starts at $16.00 per hour based on previous experience. You will work directly for the maintenance supervisor to ensure smooth day to day running of the facility. Your duties will include helping with performing repairs, maintaining inventory, and preventative maintenance procedures. This is a hands-on position.

Follow established safety procedures according to OSHA standards and company procedures Participate in continuous improvement activities Help with maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery including forklifts and cranes Help perform preventative and corrective maintenance on all plant equipment Help perform repairs and maintenance to buildings and grounds Sweep/shovel/scrape/vacuum etc. as needed, where needed

Qualifications:

Proven Work History Self-starter with attention to detail Trainable/ willing to learn Basic hand tool knowledge Proficient in reading tape measure Comfortable working in a heavy industrial environment Willing and able to perform daily tasks correctly while unsupervised Interest in acquiring job related skills such as, forklift operation, fabrication/welding, rigging, crane operations, etc. Mechanically Inclined Background and Drug Check Welding and fabricating a plus
