Job Summary The Entry-Level Maintenance Technician supports the safe, reliable operation of CNC machines, material-handling equipment and related plant systems. This is a hands-on position for a mechanically inclined individual who has basic exposure to industrial mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems and wants to develop into a multi-skilled maintenance technician. The role includes routine preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, cleaning and repair work in and around production equipment. The successful candidate must be comfortable getting dirty and working directly on machines, coolant systems and chip conveyors. Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) on CNC machines and supporting production equipment.
• Support annual machine and conveyor preventive-maintenance activities, including detailed cleaning, inspection, lubrication and component replacement.
• Maintain CNC coolant systems, including tanks, pumps, filters, hoses, lines and related components.
• Clean and maintain chip conveyors, chip pans, screens, sumps and associated material-handling components.
• Assist with troubleshooting and repair of mechanical systems including bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, pumps, motors and machine components.
• Assist with hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting, including hoses, fittings, cylinders, valves, regulators and solenoids.
• Perform basic electrical troubleshooting on industrial equipment within demonstrated competency and company safety requirements.
• Assist experienced technicians with sensors, switches, solenoid controls, pumps and basic machine electrical interfaces.
• Identify abnormal machine conditions such as leaks, unusual noise, vibration, heat, contamination or component wear and escalate issues promptly.
• Document completed PMs, repairs, findings and replacement parts in the maintenance system or established records.
• Maintain tools, maintenance areas and spare parts in an organized condition and support plant 5S standards.
• Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO), electrical safety, PPE and all plant safety requirements.
• Support production during equipment downtime and participate in troubleshooting and corrective actions. Required Qualifications
• Mechanically inclined with demonstrated interest or hands-on experience working with machines, vehicles, industrial equipment, farm equipment, fabrication or similar mechanical systems.
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems and hand/power tools.
• Some exposure to hydraulics and pneumatics, including pumps, hoses, valves, cylinders or solenoids.
• Some exposure to industrial electrical systems, motors, sensors or machine controls is preferred.
• Ability and willingness to learn CNC machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read basic mechanical drawings, manuals, schematics or maintenance instructions, or willingness to learn.
• Dependable, safety-conscious and able to work independently after appropriate training.
• Willingness to perform dirty, physical maintenance work involving coolant, chips, grease, oil and machine cleaning. Preferred Background
• Technical school, community college, skilled-trades program or relevant industrial coursework.
• Previous manufacturing, machine shop, automotive repair, industrial maintenance or equipment-service experience.
• Exposure to CNC equipment, coolant systems, chip conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics or basic electrical troubleshooting.
• Forklift, aerial-lift, LOTO or other industrial safety training is beneficial but can be provided. Physical & Work Environment Requirements
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb and work around industrial machinery for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and handle typical maintenance tools, parts and components; team lifting or mechanical assistance will be used for heavier items.
• Comfort working around metal chips, coolant, lubricants, grease, noise and normal machine-shop conditions while using required PPE.
• Availability to support planned PM work outside normal production hours when scheduled, including periodic shutdown or annual maintenance activities.

Development Path This position is intended to develop into a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician role. Progression should be based on demonstrated competency in mechanical repair, hydraulics/pneumatics, electrical troubleshooting, CNC systems, preventive maintenance and independent problem solving rather than time in position alone. Pay:

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
