Job Description

Gielow Pickles is looking for an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team! Are you a skilled maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting, diagnosing equipment problems, and keeping production running? Do you have experience working with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems? Gielow Pickles is seeking a hands-on Industrial Maintenance Technician who can confidently troubleshoot and repair industrial production equipment and help keep our manufacturing operations running safely and efficiently. This is a skilled trades position for someone who understands that minimizing downtime requires more than simply fixing a machine—it requires identifying the root cause of the problem and preventing it from happening again. What You'll Do Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain industrial production and processing equipment Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on production machinery Troubleshoot motors, motor controls, sensors, relays, contactors, and VFDs Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production-line issues Identify the root cause of equipment failures and recommend long-term solutions Perform repairs and adjustments to conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings, belts, chains, and other industrial equipment Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings Assist with installation, modification, and startup of new equipment Perform welding, fabrication, and general mechanical repairs as needed Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate equipment concerns to management Work closely with production personnel to minimize equipment downtime Follow all safety, food safety, sanitation, and company procedures Support continuous improvement efforts to improve equipment reliability and production efficiency What We're Looking For We are looking for someone with hands-on industrial maintenance experience who can walk up to a piece of equipment that isn't running and confidently begin troubleshooting the problem. Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of industrial maintenance or manufacturing maintenance experience Strong electrical troubleshooting skills Mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems Experience troubleshooting motors, VFDs, sensors, and motor controls PLC troubleshooting experience preferred Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings Welding and fabrication experience preferred Experience with preventive maintenance programs Experience working with conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and production equipment Food processing or food manufacturing experience is a plus Technical school, apprenticeship, skilled trades training, or equivalent hands-on experience is preferred The Right Candidate The ideal candidate is a problem solver and skilled trades professional who takes pride in keeping equipment running.
