Job Description

Maintenance Technician Job Description The Maintenance Technician's primary responsibility is to troubleshoot, repair, set up, and maintain various types of tooling, molds, industrial equipment, and facility assets allowing for peak performance and reliability. The right candidate will be a self-motivated individual with great communication skills who can work both independently and as a member of the team.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Conducting routine preventive maintenance, such as cleaning, lubrication, and adjustments to ensure operational efficiency Troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system malfunctions using diagnostic tools and technical manuals Repairing and replacing faulty components, dismantling machinery, and reassembling equipment to working order Coordinate and execute production tooling setups focused on minimizing production impact including tooling parameters, inserts, rigging & clamping, hydraulic and steam systems. Installing new machinery and equipment, ensuring proper alignment, calibration, and integration with existing systems Maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities, preparing reports on equipment performance, and managing inventory of spare parts and supplies Training production personnel on proper operation and basic preventive maintenance of equipment Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining clean, organized work areas Actively work with team to continuously improve equipment and processes to eliminate unnecessary waste throughout the organization. Represent themselves, the department and the company in a professional manner always. Demonstrates necessary precautions when handling hazardous materials and dangerous equipment. Effectively communicate with appropriate parties regarding machinery repair status. Ability to work weekends. Required Skills and Qualifications Safety first mentality with knowledge of basic industrial safety procedures (LOTO, Hot Work, ECT) Self-Motivated with desire to continuously learn new concepts General understanding of Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Electrical, and Stem Systems with the ability to maintain, repair, and rebuild typical components (
Ex:
pumps, motors, valves, switches, etc.) Basic machining experience including drilling, tapping, mill and lather work Ability to troubleshoot industrial systems in a safe and effective manner Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals Basic computer skills with ability to utilize Maintenance Software Problem-solving skills to efficiently identify and fix equipment malfunctions Efficiently use standard industrial equipment, tools, and measurement devices including mill, lathe, multimeters, calipers, and micrometers. Knowledge in safe rigging & lifting practices.
Physical Requirements:
Requires frequent standing and walking for eight or more hours per day. Requires bending, squatting and climbing. Ability to work off ladders or scaffolding. Ability to lift up to 50lbs. Possible exposure to hazardous chemical requiring special clothing and/or personal protective equipment. Ability to perform duties outside in varying conditions including both heat and cold.
