Maintenance Technician / Maintenance Person
Job Description
We are looking for a reliable, skilled, and detail-oriented part-time Maintenance Technician to help keep the community safe, well-maintained, and fully operational. This position will handle general maintenance requests, assist with preparing vacant units, and help maintain the property and common areas as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete general maintenance and repair requests, including basic plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, HVAC troubleshooting, and carpentry. Prepare vacant units for new residents, including drywall repairs, painting, fixture replacement, lock changes, and minor carpentry. Make sure appliances, plumbing fixtures, and HVAC systems are operating properly. Help maintain the property grounds and common areas. Complete seasonal and preventative maintenance. Assist with routine property and safety inspections. Help manage maintenance supplies and work with outside vendors/contractors when needed.
Qualifications:
1+ years of general building or apartment maintenance experience preferred. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and carpentry. Comfortable safely using hand and power tools. Painting experience is strongly preferred , including interior painting, touch-ups, and preparing surfaces for paint. Strong communication and time-management skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical maintenance work. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Flexibility to assist with occasional nights or weekend maintenance emergencies as needed.
Pay:
$20.00 - $26.00 per hour
