Operation of the Assembly line by using the established processes/TPM objectives while working together in a team environment. Accomplish any and all work assignments as directed by management.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Perform line start up. Load/Assemble/Weld parts. Correct machine problems. Inspect parts for defects. Maintain equipment using the TPM process. Know and adhere to safety procedures. Follow process procedures for Assembly. Maintain housekeeping requirements. Initiate quality improvements and assist in concern resolution. Maintain production efficiencies. Operate a fork truck in a high traffic production based setting safely. Participate in improvement activities using 5S/TPM processes.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED. One year of manufacturing experience preferred. General knowledge of quality systems. Able to identify sheet metal/aluminum defects. Basic knowledge using an ERP system.
Health, Safety and Physical Demand Requirements:
Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs Occasional lifting, climbing, carrying, pulling, griping, grasping, twisting, bending, stooping and reaching throughout the work day Hand and eye coordination Ability to tolerate standing for 8 hours or more. This is a metal stamping plant. Positions include Assembly and Press Plant machine operators, "Rackers." They house assembly, tool and die and warehousing services for the automotive manufacturers of the world. They take large rolls of steel and aluminum coil, and stamp out anything from small interior support pieces (the size of a cell phone), to large outer body pieces (the size of a large kitchen table). Everything from door panels, hoods, roofs, tailgates, wheel wells and floor panels are stamped, sent to our assembly area within the facility, spot welded, checked for quality requirements and then shipped to our customer. Positions are in either department- the Press Plants or Assembly. Previous experience in manufacturing and/or production is required.
Associates:
Should be comfortable working in a manufacturing facility, and on their feet for 8-10 hours a day. Positions may be repetitive and involve standing in a stationary position, twisting, turning, lifting up to 40-50 pound repetitively throughout the day.
